The Institute for Agriculture and Fisheries Research (ILVO) is the department in charge of the research in this EU project, for which the Flemish region (Vlaams Gewest-VLAGEW) is contractor. VLAGEW is competent for regional matters. ILVO is an internal independent agency established by a Decree of the Flemish Government of 9 December 2005 (Belgian Official Journal of 7 February 2006). As a Flemish Scientific Institute, ILVO belongs to the Policy Domain 'Agriculture and Fisheries' of the Flemish Government. The Own Capital of ILVO (EV ILVO) is third party making available resources. EV ILVO is a separate legal entity established by a Decree of the Flemish Government of 23 December 2005 (Belgian Official Journal of 30 December 2005). The ILVO-Crop Protection group has about 50 scientists and specialized technical staff, with research and a Diagnostic Centre for Plants (with tests in ISO 17025). The ILVO-Crop Protection experts are active in the relevant networks of EPPO, EFSA, COST, EUPHRESCO I and II. ILVO-Crop Protection is also National Reference Laboratory (NRL)-Plant Health.
ILVO participates in Q-collect WP2, WP3, WP4, WP5, WP6 and WP7.
