Expertise of organization

INRA (French National Institute of Agricultural Research) is the foremost French institute devoted to research in agriculture, forestry, food and the environment. INRA produces fundamental knowledge that leads to innovation and know-how for society, and lends its expertise to public decision-making. Among priorities INRA is in charge of the development of tools for diagnosis of pests. Large collections of pests and plant pathogens are developed and maintained, some of which are internationally recognized Biological Resource Centres. Collections of bacteria, fungi and arthropods are particularly important. INRA has strong experience of EU projects and the teams involved in the consortium have been leading WP or groups in different FP6 and FP7 projects such as, QBOL, NoE EDIT and ENDURE; ERA-NET EUPHRESCO, project DAISIE, ALARM, FORTHREATS and PRATIQUE

Role in the project

INRA will lead WP2 (Inventory) and WP4 (Access) and will participate in WP3 (Quality), WP5 (Infoportal), WP6 (Reference collections) and WP7 (Dissemination).
