The Laboratory for Plant Health is the reference, scientific and technical support body of ANSES for all subjects concerning risks to plant health. The Laboratory covers all disciplines related to plant health: development and revision of reference analytical methods, identification of plant pests and pathogens in all fields, expert appraisals on invasive plant species on cultivated land. ANSES-LSV has 80 staff members on 6 sites: Angers, Montpellier, Nancy, Rennes, Saint-Pierre (Réunion Island), and Clermont-Ferrand, which also serves as France's quarantine site for imported plants. The Laboratory is a National Reference Laboratory (NRL) for plant health, for plant pathogens requiring quarantine (organisms that can be harmful to plants such as bacteria, viruses, phytoplasmas, nematodes, arthropods and mites and fungi that fall under European Union quarantine regulations).
ANSES will participate in WP2 (Inventory), WP3 (Quality standards), WP4 (Access), WP5 (Infoportal), WP6 (Reference collections) and WP7 (Dissemination)
